Day 2: Rhino Tracking

After breakfast, drive to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will go on a walking safari with an experienced ranger to see the rhinos. This is a fantastic opportunity to get up, close,  and personal with endangered rhinos! These gorgeous species are becoming increasingly rare in their natural habitat. The rhinos have access to 7000 hectares of territory in this sanctuary. Black and white rhinoceros once roamed Kidepo Valley and Murchison Falls National Parks. During the Idi Amin era, however, extensive poaching resulted in the extinction of rhinos in Uganda. Rhino Fund Uganda is a breeding program in order to reintroduce black and white rhinos into the wild in Uganda. This approach also includes educating communities about endangered rhinos. Other wildlife species you might see at the sanctuary include Uganda kobs, oribis, bush bucks, and water bucks, among others, as well as a variety of bird species

Journey: Time 4 to 5 Hours
Accommodation: Kabalega Resort
Meal Plan Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 3: To Murchison Falls National Park

Today, you’ll go to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s oldest conservation zones. This is a long yet fascinating tour through Northern Uganda’s varied landscapes. The most well-known and largest nature reserve in Uganda is Murchison Falls National Park. This is a must-see in the Pearl of Africa, with the spectacular and strong Murchison waterfall and its exceptional wildlife populations. There are some fantastic activities available, like as a boat safari or a Nile Delta safari. The river separates the park into two halves as it winds its way to Lake Albert, passing through numerous rapids and waterfalls. Unfortunately, poachers and army killed out the majority of animals throughout the war years. Except for the rhino population in the park, all other wildlife has rebounded quickly since then. A game drive in the park allows you to get up up and personal with the African animal life, and the sheer number of elephants will astound you. Giraffes, lions, antelope, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles are among the animals that can be seen. Game drives are held on the tracks in the northern half, which may be reached by crossing the river on a ferry. Adventure is guaranteed at this park!

In the middle of nowhere, you will visit the top of the falls, where you will be greeted by a tremendous roar as the entire Nile River converges into a space of only 7 meters, plummeting deep into a 50-meter precipice. Continue driving through the park, crossing the Nile on a ferry to the park’s northern sector, where excitement awaits. The wonderful thing about this location is that getting to and from your lodge is done through game drive or animal viewing, with the opportunity of seeing a lot of game.

Journey: Time 3 to Hours
Accommodation: Fort Murchison or Pakuba Safari Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park

It’s time for the early morning game drive in the park after an early breakfast. Here we may spot as many animals as possible on your Game Drives, you’ll need a little luck and a decent pair of eyes. You can come face to face with the African wildlife kingdom while traveling through the park. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, several species of antelope, and other tropical birds are all likely to be seen. They’ve all arrived! In your car will be a professional ranger with vast knowledge of the park and its residents. The park is particularly well-known for its large elephant population, diverse bird species, and large buffalo herds. With dense woodland, wide savannahs, and rolling grasslands, you’ll see some of the park’s ecosystems and varied views. Because this is a private game drive, you can request that your guide focus your excursion on specific birdlife and/or species.

The afternoon boat safari to the base of the Murchison Falls is a unique experience that lasts around 3 hours and travels along the Victoria Nile. As you may expect, this boat safari will take you through breath-taking scenery. When you’re thirsty for a local beer or soda, cold drinks are available for purchase onboard. You descend to the bottom of the tremendous Murchison Falls, surrounded by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys, and all the other (also thirsty) animals that the Nile attracts. If you enjoy hiking, the boat can drop you off near the falls, where you can trek to the top (this takes around 1 or 1,5 hours).

The views are spectacular!

Accommodation: Fort Murchison or Pakuba Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 5: To Kibale forest N.P.

Today, you’ll set out on a tour to the lush Kibale Forest. The trip is breathtakingly beautiful, traveling through tea plantations and the lush green scenery that is typical of Uganda. You’ll enter an entirely other world when you get at the forest… some real monkey business! Kibale Forest National Park is a lush tropical rainforest located just beyond the colonial settlement of Fort Portal. Due to some serious monkey business, this park is considered one of Uganda’s major features. A large number of primates live here, and a visit to one of the habituated chimpanzee groups is a very unique experience. The rare red colobus, as well as the black and white colobus, red tailed monkey, olive baboon, blue monkey, and l’hoest’s monkeys, can all be seen here on a regular basis. Where else might you get a better sense of nature by smelling the trees and listening to the many sounds? Your safari tent or cottage is surrounded by lush green diversity, home to a plethora of bird and butterfly species.

This lodge provides a one-of-a-kind jungle experience on the outskirts of Kibale Forest National Park, with a breath-taking view of the forest canopy and the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains.

You’ll be staying in a nice and comfortable cottage in a peaceful forest setting. This lodge focuses on providing a calm environment that is also family oriented and includes a refreshing swimming pool. You’ll be welcome to eat delicious meals in the restaurant and lounge spaces, and you’ll have a good possibility of seeing Red Colobus and Grey Cheeked Mangabey monkeys on the premises.

Journey: Time 5 to 6 hours
Accommodation: Turaco Treetops or Kibale forest camp
Meal Plan Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Swamp Walk

Chimpanzees are our closest living relatives since they share 98 percent of our genes. They may be found in 21 African countries, but due to their large populations, they are most commonly seen in Uganda. There are around 5,000 chimpanzees left in the wild in Uganda today. The Chimpanzee Trekking adventure takes place on a number of well-kept trekking pathways. There is also a fantastically diverse population of other primates, far more than any other forest in East Africa. You can see red colobus, red-tailed guenon, white-nosed monkey, gray-cheeked mangabey, blue monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, and black and white colobus monkeys in addition to our great cousins, the chimps. Olive baboons, bush infants, and nocturnal pottos are also possible sightings.

The goal of your forest excursion under the supervision of a professional guide is to get 1 hour of face-to-face time with the chimps. Still, because they are still wild creatures, we cannot guarantee that you will see them; however, your chances are quite good. Your next excursion will take you to the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, which is home to eight different monkey species, over 200 different bird species, and a variety of reptiles. Several species can be seen throughout the 2- to 3-hour walk, but the highlight is obtaining a sight of a famous bird, the Great Blue Turaco. KAFRED, a recognized community-based organization, runs the sanctuary. The income from the walk is used for community development projects such as schools and hospitals.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park

The scenic Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in southern Uganda and is frequently visited by tourists. It is the country’s second largest park, situated at the foot of the spectacular Rwenzori Mountain range, between Lake Edward and Lake George, which are connected by the Kazinga waterway. Few reserves on the planet offer as diverse a landscape as this one, with savannah, bushland, wetlands, and lush woods. It’s time to explore the Queen Elizabeth National Park’s 200 kilometers of well-maintained game viewing paths on your first game drive. On your game drive, we recommend being aware and proactive in order to assist the guide in spotting as many animals as possible.

Journey: Time 4 hours
Accommodation: Marafiki safari Lodge or Bush Safari Lodge
Meal: Plan Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 8: Park Game Drive & Boat Safari

You embark on a long game drive in time to witness the sun rise after an early breakfast. The optimum time for a game drive is early in the morning, when the African animal kingdom is most active during the golden hours of the first sunshine striking the savannah. You will continue your quest for various types of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, waterbuck, leopards, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and birds and primates.

You will go on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel after lunch. You’ll witness a lot of hippos (more than you might imagine), as well as a variety of other creatures who come to drink or wash at the waterhole. You can expect to see the following:

Buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. After the boat-safari you game drive back to the lodge.

Accommodation: Marafika safari Lodge or Bush lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Optional activity: Lion Tracking

A research tour is a rewarding excursion for people who want to get up up and personal with wild African animals. Using locator devices, people may actively assist in monitoring some of the park’s lions in this one-of-a-kind event. This optional activity costs an extra $100 per person.

Day 9: Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo is a little national park on the way back to Entebbe from Bwindi National Park, but it should not be overlooked. This is the sole zebra sighting in southern Uganda, as well as the country’s only park with impalas, slender mongoose, and gigantic bush rats. Hyenas, leopards, topis, elands, and the lovely Rothschild’s giraffes can also be found, not to mention the lake itself, which is alive with hippos and crocodiles! Horseback riding, jungle walks, a lake boat safari, and a mountain bike safari are just a few of the fantastic activities available. It’s thrilling to get so close to the wildlife, especially when the fresh air is combined with the stunning backdrop of Lake Mburo National Park.

You will go on a bike excursion as soon as you arrive at your lodge. This is a thrilling activity since you will learn about the peaceful coexistence of human life and nature, with the prospect of seeing cows and zebras. It’s a lot of fun to go on a mountain bike safari.

Rwakobo Rock is the ideal location for soaking up the essence of Uganda’s natural beauty. The goal of this lodge is to promote ethical tourism in every aspect. The isolated and tranquil hideaway includes big individual cottages strategically scattered around the hill for a magnificent sunset view. The cottages are designed to complement the natural lines of the surrounding nature while also providing comfort and luxury in an environmentally friendly manner. Zebras, warthogs, impalas, and bushbucks frequently congregate near the lodge to drink from the water source beneath the eating area. At night, you can sit around the campfire and gaze up at the lovely starry sky, or you can dine at the restaurant, which has a dining area facing the park’s bordering cliffs. This is as ‘African’ as you can get!

It’s thrilling to be able to be so close to the wildlife. This morning’s activities is included. Get out and about and get up close and personal with zebra, gazelle, Eland, and even giraffe!

You’ll return to the lodge after your activities (between 9 and 10 am). After that, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading back to Kampala or Entebbe (Airport). Of course, you must stop at the equator for a photo opportunity at zero degrees latitude while simultaneously being in the north and south hemispheres; it is also the ideal location for souvenir purchasing.
